AISMUN:

The delegates of BD Somani International School went to Cairo, Egypt on the 24th of March 2010 for the 20th annual American International School Model United Nations 2010. Over the 5 days that we spent in Cairo, we engaged in some very intellectual and intense debates and we were also exposed to the local Egyptian culture. The presence of delegates from around the world added an international perspective to our debate. The conference was perfect blend of MUN experience and merrymaking. This MUN nourished our international perspective, gave us experiences, posed challenges, and inculcated leadership and exposed us to newer outlooks.


SISHMUN:

We got an opportunity to represent our school at an International MUN at Sishya School in Chennai, India. We had delegates from grades 9 to 12. The MUN was held over 3 days and our school won the Best School award along with 2 Best Delegate and 6 Special Mention awards. The MUN was a challenging experience as we were up against delegates of a very high calibre and an astute Secretariat. The MUN was covered by several national newspapers and news channels.


BDSMUN:

All the experience we gained from our International MUN experiences helped us form the framework for the BDS MUN at BD Somani International School, Mumbai. Being the members of the Secretariat, we were given the opportunity to showcase our leadership skills as well as knowledge of international affairs. From inviting schools to organizing food and drink for the delegates, the road to this MUN brought out our organizational skills. Tasks were delegated to different members of the Secretariat to ensure that the MUN would proceed smoothly. The MUN received plenty of positive feedback and we hope this MUN prospers in the years to come.
