| What is IB ? |
| The International Baccalaureate (I.B.) is a two year, pre-university
programme of studies (Grade 11 & 12). |
| In the competitive world of today, the I.B. programme is
designed to enhance and sharpen a student's aptitude and skills, creating
in them a thirst for knowledge, the keenness to learn and the ability to
research, through its exceptionally evolved educational programme, with
worldwide validity and an internationally recognized Diploma. |
| There are 1174 secondary schools in more than 115 countries
worldwide that are authorized by the International Baccalaureate Organization
based in Geneva, Switzerland and the International Baccalaureate Curriculum
and Assessment Center in Cardiff, Wales to offer the I.B. diploma programme. |
| Every month approximately fifteen schools over the world
apply for I.B. recognition. |
