Message From our Lower Primary School Head Ms. Gayatri Bhasin....
Gayatri Bhasin has a Bachelor of Science in Primary Education and Sociology, from Northeastern University Boston, in the United States of America. Gayatri has been an educationalist for over 10 years. Before co-ordinating the primary school at B. D. Somani International School, she taught in international schools in Kuwait, Boston, and Banglore. Lower Primary School Head

Gayatri has been working with children ranging from the age groups of 2 years to 17 years.

Gayatri believes that teachers play the role of facilitators.“We want our children to gradually develop lifelong skills, which will make them independent learners. Teaching and learning is a journey which the child takes with their teachers, as they unravel and explore the world together.”
Currently we are living in exponential times. We are trying to prepare children for jobs that don’t even exist at the moment. There is a global transition taking place since knowledge is becoming obsolete by the millisecond. At BDSINT we believe that by providing an education that focuses on holistic development of the child right from the pre-primary level we can actually start the development of the whole child at a much younger age. One of the key features of our curriculum is the emphasis on “learning how to learn”. A progressive curriculum is one that nurtures independent learners and guides the children on “learning how to learn.”

Message From our Upper Primary School Head Ms. Shalini Talsania....
Ms. Shalini Talsania has been an educator for over 15 Years. Her varied experience in the field of education includes being a Math Curriculam Coordinator in an ICSE school and as Head of Teacher Training for School Net. She has conducted teacher training workshops and developed learning resources through an education initiative for rural schools sponsored by UNICEF. For the past 8 years, she has worked for IB schools as PYP coordinator at both, The International School Bangalore and Ecole Mondiale World School in Mumbai. Upper Primary School Head

Ms. Shalini believes that every child is a unique and special individual. Therefore, education should be child-centered where teachers support the children in their growth and development across all areas -- social, emotional, physical, linguistic, creative and intellectual -- keeping in mind each child's pace, level and learning style.
